The Astra Film Festival Sibiu is one of the oldest documentary film festivals in Europe, with its first edition taking place in 1990. Since then, each edition of the festival has garnered increasing attention from film critics, making it a meeting point for documentary film enthusiasts today.
12th Edition Highlights
The 12th edition, taking place this year, features:
- Over 100 films from 24 countries
- A third of the films being Romanian
Program Structure
The program is divided into sections:
- Mornings dedicated to juniors
- Evenings for documentary film lovers and specialists
The program also includes workshops and creative sessions led by professors and experts from Romania as well as from universities abroad.
