On the threshold of the spring season, we invite you to join a unique and authentic experience in the heart of Transylvania: the "Dance and Mărțișor Carnival" event. This special tour is scheduled to take place between February 28th and March 1st, 2026, marking the beginning of the Mărțișor season.
Mărțișor is a traditional Romanian holiday that marks the beginning of the spring season. In Transylvania, this holiday is celebrated with great fanfare, combining ancient practices to ward off winter with modern influences, manifested through fairs and balls. A carnival organized during this period offers an authentic perspective on how local communities value dance and folklore.
The exact destination of the carnival event is not specified, but being a promotion within Romanian tourism and taking place at the end of winter, it represents an ideal opportunity to visit a region of Transylvania known for preserving traditions. We will explore rural areas and savor the unique hospitality of Transylvania, before the peak tourist season begins.
The tour is structured over two days, offering sufficient time for cultural immersion and exploration. Departure is set for Saturday, February 28th, at 6:00 am from Bucharest (Victoriei Square), with a second pick-up stop at 7:15 am in Ploiești. This structure allows you to enjoy the carnival experience, as well as explore the surrounding areas and soak up the local culture.
One of the highlights of this event is the authentic dance and folklore. We will have the opportunity to participate in dances and enjoy traditional music and costumes. Additionally, we will have access to fairs and balls, where we can immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere and meet the locals.
This event is a limited opportunity to experience the seasonal transition in a festive setting, away from daily routine. In March 2026, you will have the chance to enjoy a unique experience, before the peak tourist season begins. Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in Romanian culture and traditions!
Sign up now for the "Dance and Mărțișor Carnival" event and enjoy a unique experience in the heart of Transylvania. We will be delighted to have you join us on this cultural adventure and offer you an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
