Annual Livestock Fair in Alma

On the last Sunday before the end of each September, several hundred livestock breeders from the entire region gather annually in the commune of Alma, near the town of Dumbrăveni. The most beautiful livestock is showcased here to be sold, but often also because their breeders simply want to take pride in them.

Event Details

The animal fair is already in its eighth edition, which will be held in 2013. In recent years, due to the large number of breeders, the fair has been organized over a period of two days. Thus, during these two days, visitors can see:

• Dairy cows
• Horses
• Sheep
• Other domestic animals

Other Local Fairs

Another sought-after fair by local breeders is the one in Dumbrăveni, where a fair exclusively dedicated to horse breeders is organized every three months.
