Nestled in the heart of nature, this place is a 5-kilometer-long gorge with 200-meter-high walls. And no, it doesn’t require a special time to be visited; in fact, a little-known fact is that it can be explored at any time. It’s no wonder that at least one group of tourists is present daily!

We can’t quite call them pristine, but the Zărnești Gorges are maintained in a divine state – thanks to the barrier at the entrance, which prevents any cars, motorcycles, smoke, or noise from disturbing the tranquility of nature that so many of us seek.

The rates are not high compared to the view, the rarefied air, and the mountain biking trails! You can choose any path to traverse the gorge's walls. There are dozens, and the longest and most exhausting one is 115 meters. Well, once you get there, the choice of challenge is entirely yours!

Thus, starting from one place, you can reach another (either by bike or on foot) to fully enjoy nature. If you want to fully enjoy this tourist attraction, we recommend visiting during the rainy or snowy periods – just to witness the water cascading into the gorges and beyond. It’s a fairy-tale image, torn from stories, but in summer, the atmosphere is pleasant, the temperature moderate, and the air pure – free from any impurities!
