Invitation to the Ceremony

Dear Sir (Dear Madam),

We are honored to invite you to attend the ceremony for the presentation of a bust of the scholar of Medieșean origin, Prof. Hermann Oberth, to the *"Hermann Oberth"* Secondary School in Mediaș, which will take place on the date of:

  • October 4th of this year, at 1:00 PM at *Casa Schuller*.

About the Bust

This is about a bronze copy of a bust created by Waldemar Theil, an architect and sculptor originally from Sighișoara. The bust will be presented to the school by the Mediaș Native Association, which wishes to express through this gesture the special consideration of its members, mostly Saxons from Mediaș who have settled abroad, for the school's contribution to preserving the memory of the German population's existence, as well as for the successes of the students, who maintain and cultivate, for example in the choir and dance group, elements of the Saxon cultural heritage alongside the Romanian one.

Participants

From the Mediaș Native Association, the president, Mr. Alfred Gökeler, as well as the cultural advisor Dr. Hansotto Drotloff, will participate.

We are pleased to offer those attending the ceremony a short artistic program prepared by the school's students.

Closing

With special respect,

Alfred Gökeler Daniela Oprean
