
The medieval festival "Transylvanian Fortresses" begins in Sibiu.
Transylvanian Fortresses Medieval Festival
The third edition of the Transylvanian Fortresses Medieval Festival kicks off on Friday, August 24, in Sibiu. For three days, the historic center of Sibiu will be dressed in medieval attire. Knights and maidens will also be present at the "Transylvanian Fortresses" Medieval Festival. The main attraction of this edition will be the concert by Cantus Buranus, a band that blends rock rhythms with medieval sounds, creating a true spectacle during their performances.
Festival Activities
On the streets of the historic center:
- Knights will duel for the fairest maidens
- There will be medieval dance performances
- Fire juggling
- Workshops on divination and medieval art
The festival will conclude on Sunday and will be held in the Great Square and on Nicolae Bălcescu Pedestrian Street. You can find more information about the festival on the official page.
