Gura Râului on the map of ski enthusiasts: The Trecătoarea Lupilor Slope

Introduction

Ski enthusiasts from Romania and abroad have another place to practice this winter sport near Sibiu. At the foot of the Cibin Mountains, in Gura Râului, Sibiu County, the newest ski slope in the area was inaugurated in 2008.

Investment and Features

With an investment of over 50,000 euros, the slope features:

  • Artificial snow-making equipment
  • A ski lift
  • Spaces for renting skis and boots

Slope Details

The slope is 500 meters long, while the ski lift spans 412 meters, with a descent gradient of 150 meters. The Gura Râului slope is even more appealing as it also has:

  • Night skiing facilities
  • A restaurant
  • A secondary slope for beginners
