At Balea, work is in full swing on the construction of the ice hotel.

At Bâlea Lake, the construction of the ice hotel, already famous worldwide, is in full swing. This year, the theme behind the construction is *"carnival,"* so by the end, the hotel will feature several themed rooms:

• Wonderland
• Mystery Room
• Candy Land
• Harlequin
• Masks
• Mirror Room
• Dragons Cave
• Circus

Alongside the ice hotel, an ice church will also be built, as well as a new structure consisting of three igloo-shaped rooms, which will connect to the hotel through a central hallway. Furthermore, the furniture and interior decorations are completely new and relate to the chosen theme.

History of the Ice Hotel

The history of the ice hotel at Bâlea Lake began in 2006, being the first ice hotel in Eastern Europe, at that time having a capacity of 16 places. Year after year, the ice mass, whose construction usually starts in December, has grown in size and facilities.

This year, the organizers promise:

1. A restaurant hall
2. A bar where you can enjoy cocktails served in ice glasses
3. Themed events

The builders hope to complete the hotel by Christmas Day, just like in previous years.
