Introduction to Poiana Brașov
Poiana Brașov, founded in 1895, initially developed as a tourist area of Brașov, with the first construction appearing here in 1904. The first competitions in Poiana Brașov began after 1906, with the resort hosting the International Winter Student Games in 1951.
Location and Surroundings
The resort is located at an altitude of over 1020 m, just 12 km from Brașov, surrounded by four mountain ranges:
- Postăvarul (1799m)
- Piatra Craiului (2238m)
- Bucegi (2505m)
- Piatra Mare (1848m)
