Transylvania, one of the most beautiful places to spend your winter in Europe.
The Well-Known Magazine
Lonely Planet
A travel and vacation blog has included Transylvania in its list of the ten regions across Europe worth spending your winter holiday in.
Besides medieval fortresses, fortified churches, and legends of Dracula, Transylvania is becoming increasingly attractive for winter sports. Thus, in Poiana Brașov, Cavnic, Bâlea, and many other areas, ski slopes dedicated exclusively to snowboarding or skiing enthusiasts are emerging.
"You can't visit Dracula's lair on a sunny day when you can hear the sounds of lambs in the fields, can you? Try visiting the castle on a cloudy day when the leaves have fallen and the snow begins to envelop the landscape," suggest the authors of the magazine that ranked Transylvania ninth in a list that also includes cities from:
- Finland
- Germany
- Austria
- Greece
- Denmark
- Slovakia
- Hungary
- Spain
- Italy
