Overview of Arieşeni
The mountain resort of Arieşeni is located at the border between Alba and Bihor counties, at an altitude of 850 meters. The entire area is exceptionally beautiful, featuring numerous tourist attractions such as:
- the Scărişoara Glacier
- the Ionele's Gate Cave
- the Bears' Cave
- the Bihor Gates
- the Ruginoasa Pit
- the Avram Iancu Memorial House
- the famous Girls' Fair on Mount Găina
Ski Season
The average duration of the ski season in the mountain resort of Arieşeni stretches from December to April. In 2011, a complex of two slopes was inaugurated here, equipped with night skiing:
- One slope is over 1,000 meters long and has a high difficulty level.
- The second slope is 1,400 meters long with a medium difficulty level.
The most popular ski slope in Arieşeni is the Vârtop slope, equipped with snow maintenance machinery and a ski lift.
Equipment and Accommodation
If you don't have winter sports equipment, there are numerous rental points in the resort. As for accommodation, there are over 200 holiday homes and guesthouses in Arieşeni.
