Transylvania, by Mihaela Neacsu

Introduction

My name is Neacsu Mihaela from Slatina, Olt County, and I would like to share my journey to Transylvania with you!

The Journey

After a challenging period due to my daughter Andreea's health issues, for which we had her operated on in Italy last year, we decided this year to go on vacation to relax. We chose the Transylvanian region because of its beauty and civilization as described by friends!

The journey there was demanding, but I can say it was worth every effort!

The Landscape

The landscape is absolutely stunning, with numerous wooded peaks scattered across this divine land, and remarkable tourist attractions:

• Bran Castle
• Râșnov Fortress
• The Black Church
• and many others!

Looking at these places took me back in time to the medieval provinces of Romania, which have faced many trials throughout history, forming the Romanian people!

The People

As for the people, what can I say? They are welcoming, simple, and kind! This area offers a blend of cultures and architecture reflecting the cultural heritage of the settlements!

No matter how tired we were from exploring those places, it felt as if we forgot everything, detached ourselves from the real world, and entered a magical realm!

A Memorable Experience

Even my daughter loved it; she was fascinated, smiling and babbling! That week spent there was like a breath of fresh air that we desperately needed to move forward!

It was worth EVERY EFFORT! Walking along mountain trails, I noticed all the beauty! The mountain will thank you for loving it; it won't turn its back on you, it won't reproach you, and when you temporarily leave, it will say: *I await you next time.*
