The Mill in Hosman

For nearly 100 years, the mill in Hosman has been continuously grinding the wheat used to make one of the tastiest breads in the Hartibaciu Valley. The mill in Hosman, located in the Nochrich commune, was built in 1920, and alongside it, a bakery with a wood-fired oven was constructed.

Close to the old mill, there is also an ancient blacksmith shop that is still used today by the local elderly cart drivers.

Visiting Hosman

If you choose to visit Hosman this autumn, you will be making a perfect choice, especially since behind it lies a rich orchard filled with apple trees.

Meet Luiza

Don’t forget to ask about Luiza, the baker who inherited this craft from her family and who can offer you some of the traditional specialties of the area, prepared right at the Old Mill.
